Serving Coolidge since 1963!
Shope’s Market was opened by Russell and Anne Shope in 1963. In April 1988, their son, Tom, opened a new store, which would coincide with the beginning of the IGA banner in Arizona.
Today, Tom continues to run the store with the help of his sister Beth, her husband Fred, their daughter Chelsea, and his son, T.J.
The family’s goal is to provide a clean, enjoyable place to shop for all citizens of Coolidge and the surrounding area. They strive to offer a wide variety of quality products with competitive prices accompanied by friendly, old-fashioned customer service. “Hometown Proud” says it all when it comes to their community involvement and hard work to improve the city they serve.
They also honor their employees who round out the Shope’s IGA family.
“There is nothing we look forward to more than continuing the family history of serving our customers and our community for many years to come,” says the Shope family.

Meat
Our full-service meat counter provides old-fashioned butchers who can help you find the perfect cut. From special orders, to specialty cuts, we have everything you need. And don’t forget to pick up Mama Lola’s Masa for your Tamales and everything you need for Menudo.
Farm Fresh Produce
Fresh from the farm, our produce department offers a wide variety of locally sourced products to provide you the freshest offerings from surrounding communities. In addition, pick up fresh cut fruit, melons and fruit cups.
Bakery
Our Bakery offers a wide variety of deli and bakery items, including beautiful, made-to-order cakes, including Photo Cakes, Deli & Fruit Platters, and Subs. Don’t forget to shop our wine and beer department. Try our Pick 6 area where you can select several local brews for only $9.99! We can also supply kegs for your party. Just ask one of our associates.
